Stevie J is thanking God he doesn’t have to go to jail over his ongoing child support case. The VH1 “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” star, who’s expecting another child with Joseline Hernandez, commented on his victory in court writing on Instagram that he was happy the judge let him walk.

Sharing a picture of him posing with his daughter Sadé Jordan, the music producer wrote: “My princess surprised at court today. Guess that’s why the judge let me walk, God is great! I love my children more than I love myself @sadej123 #TheJordans.” The VH1 reality star also shared another photo of him leaning up against a car, with the caption, “When God is for you no man can be against you. No more game for chumps!”

According to Page Six, instead of a judge sending Stevie J to jail he was ordered to rehab followed by home detention. The reality star’s latest legal trouble stems from him violating the terms of his bail and using drugs while awaiting trial for a child support case with his ex Carol A. Bennett. The outlet reported the Stevie J failed multiple drug tests, skipped out on other drug testing appointments and also flew to Buffalo, New York, without permission.

During his court appearance this week, Stevie J admitted to using coke twice in the past year but said he never traveled to Buffalo without permission. Even though Stevie J won’t be spending time behind bars this time, judge Debra Freeman told him that if he violates the terms of his bail again there’s a good chance he would get locked up. “It may be a bit of a shock for you,” she told him (via Page Six). “You are really testing the limits of the court’s patience.”

Last week, Stevie J alerted fans that he would be going to jail in an Instagram post. Sharing a photo of him wearing a suit and sitting on a staircase, he wrote: “ Not playing no games. No fakes no phonies real n----- only. Shout out to my reals ones [sic] locked up. #freefaceoff #freecoreyjacobs #freeloon #freedevaloso #Freelenlo bout to do this time starting next week, sum thing light for this child support case. My kids love me & I love them & that’s all that matters.”

Apparently, Stevie J has been in a legal battle with Bennett since 2014. BET reported that he allegedly owes her over $1 million in back child support.
