Messi has had issues with the direction of Barcelona and has not seen eye-to-eye with president Joseph Bartomeu. Bartomeu has been under fire for the decisions made for the Catalan giants with fans asking for him to step down.

Bartomeu is ready to resign from his position on the premise that Messi publicly admits that he is the problem. The Barca president's future is also in doubt with the Barcelona board showed a vote of no confidence on the embattled prexy, Goal reported.
