A man from Maine set a house on fire after his mother sold it to a couple who wanted to turn it into a camp.

According to WHDH, Athens resident Dwayne Weese, 52, appeared in court on Monday and was charged with arson for burning the house on Feb. 28 .

Weese was found when a Maine State Police tracking dog followed footprints in the snow from a crawl space under the house going to Weese's home next door.

The fire went out on its own and the house endured minimal damages.

The suspect is still being held at the Somerset County Jail on $5,000 bond.
