A new poster of “Maleficient 2” has been released online, giving the fans a glimpse of all the major characters in the film. The plot revolves around Princess Aurora (Elle Fanning) and how her love will test her relationship with her godmother.

After releasing the character posters of the three main female characters of the film, a new poster has been posted on the Instagram page of the movie. Angelina Jolie’s character is the main focus of the poster, and she is joined by the other main characters Princess Aurora, Queen Ingrith (Michelle Pfeiffer), Connal (Chiwetel Ejiofer), Prince Phillip (Harris Dickinson), and the character played by Ed Skrein.

According to Screen Rant, Ejiofer’s character name hasn’t yet been confirmed as Connal. The character is expected to play an important role in the sequel, and the poster teases that he will be playing a horned fairy.

The fact that there is another horned fairy in the kingdom is in itself significant. It remains to be seen if Ejiofer’s character is somehow related to Maleficent.

Another big character in “Maleficent 2” is played by Skrein. The character also has horns and this character is speculated to be the main villain of the film. Disney has so far kept the details about the new character under wraps.

The trailer of the movie has teased Queen Ingrith as the manipulative antagonist. The war against the humans will force Jolie’s character to go back to her people and care for them, and this may be the time when the new villain will play a role.

“Maleficent 2” is set many years after the events in the 2014 movie, People reported. The film has been directed by Joachim Rønning, who is known for “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,” and it will be released on Oct. 18.
