New posters of “Maleficent 2” have been released online, ahead of the highly anticipated release of the film in theaters. The cast members also appeared in a video to tease details and ask the fans to prepare themselves for the new Angelina Jolie movie.

The IMAX poster of the upcoming film has been released online. Jolie is back as the titular character and as the Queen of the Moors. The new poster shows her with her dark wings and horns, carrying her magic staff with its green glow. The character is surrounded by creepy looking woods.

The other poster that has been released on the Instagram page of the film is from RealD 3D. The black and white picture shows Jolie’s character flying away, as the feathers from her massive wings fall to the ground.

Director Joachim Rønning also shared a behind-the-scenes picture from the production set on Instagram. The picture shows the director explaining a scene to lead cast member Elle Fanning, who plays the role of Princess Aurora in “Maleficent 2.”

In the post, Fanning is seen mimicking Rønning’s gesture. Commenting on the pose, the director jokingly wrote that the actress was directing him on the set of the film. The fans also joined in the fun and commented on the post, with one of them remarking that the cast member and the director were dancing to Michael Jackson’s song “Thriller” with their hand movements.

The new posters and the behind-the-scenes post also announced that the tickets for the upcoming film are currently on sale. The tickets can be bought on online websites like Fandango.

“Maleficent 2” will be released on Oct. 18. A video teaser shows the cast members teasing details about what to expect in the sequel. Alliances will be formed and adversaries will rise, according to Fanning and Michelle Pfeiffer.
