It takes a long time for Angelina Jolie in the makeup chair to get the right look for her character in “Maleficent 2.” A new video has been release online that shows the transformation of the actress into the Queen of the Moors.

The video that has been released on Instagram shows the makeup team working on Jolie’s face and hair simultaneously. In order to give her the devilish horns that are seen on screen, the team has to get the hair ready for it first.

Jolie’s hair is tied into a pair of plaits first, which in itself takes a bit of a time. She is then given a headpiece that forms the base of the horns with two outlets, in which her plaits are tucked in neatly.

In the meantime, a pair of makeup artists get her face ready. The team add the high-raised cheekbones prosthetics that give her a devilish look. They later put on the headpiece that is the horns, which has a slightly new design in “Maleficent 2” with some jewelry at the centre.

The look is only complete when Jolie’s teeth also look the part. The actress wears a bridge that has some elongated teeth in either end, making her look a little like a vampire. She then puts on the bright red lipstick that accentuates the lining of the teeth and make her look menacing.

The video that has been shared online is black and white, so the fans will not be able to notice the changes in her eyes so much. In the trailer of the film, the character’s eyes sparkle in bright green hue.

Another behind-the-scenes picture shows the amount of work that Jolie has to endure in order to look the part in the film. Commenting on the post, some of the fans remarked how beautiful the actress looks.

“Maleficent 2” has been directed by Joachim Rønning. The film will be released on Oct. 18.
