Mama June Shannon took the time to look back at her past self in a meaningful social media post about her growth as a person through the years.

On Tuesday, the controversial reality star, who turned 43 on Aug. 10, took to Instagram to share a compilation of photos taken through the years. Some of the snaps were from her "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" days, and they featured some of the stars she met along the way, including Ryan Seacrest, Miley Cyrus and Sharon Osbourne.

Mama June included several photos before her life-changing transformation for "Mama June: From Hot to Not." She used Sia's "Unstoppable" as background music for her recollection and wrote a lengthy caption to accompany the post.

"These [are] some of the pics of me over the past 10 years, and while I have changed in so many ways ... I just wanted to share some of them with you. As [I] look at them, I [t]hink about where I was at the time and where I am today," she wrote.

The TV personality continued, "And it's so much different in a lot of ways, I'm in such a better place today even from a year, I feel I have grown so much. I love who I'm now [and] continue to grow as a person."

Mama June's post received a mix of responses from her fans and followers. Some called her out for what she did to her daughters when she abandoned them for her ex-boyfriend Geno Doak in 2019. Others expressed how proud they were of her for how far she's come.

"Girl, [please] don't play mom of the year. [You] don't even care about [your] kids smh. [Your] own daughter had to step up for [your] youngest [because you] choose men over kids. Go lie somewhere else," one wrote.

"How can you be proud of yourself?" another asked.

"Good, now do right by your children. Mend the relationships that you have broken. I want you to be better. You can do it," a third user commented.

"So proud of you!! It's not an easy journey. Keep up the hard work," a different fan added.

Based on court documents filed in April, Mama June officially lost custody of her youngest child, 16-year-old Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson. Her third daughter, Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon, was granted sole physical custody of her younger sister.

The court allowed Pumpkin, 22, to decide the visitation rights of their mom, who was also ordered to pay $800 monthly in child support until Alana turns 18.

In an interview with Page Six's "Virtual Reali-Tea," the Shannon matriarch admitted she was not bothered after losing custody of her youngest daughter because Alana made that decision herself.

"Alana made that choice to stay in that environment. People don't understand the custody thing. It's not like somebody 'lost custody.' In the state of Georgia, you do temporary guardianship every year and [Alana] had been with [Lauryn] in my addiction," she said.
