  • Mama June said she and her family will be back after the finale of “Road to Redemption” aired
  • The controversial matriarch also teased new projects that are in the works
  • Fans are convinced that Mama June’s reality series will be renewed for another season

“Mama June: From Not to Hot” could be coming back with another season based on what star Mama June Shannon said in one of her latest social media posts.

The controversial reality TV star, 41, took to Instagram Friday to do another recap video on their show’s latest episode. Apart from recalling what transpired in episode 11, the Shannon matriarch took the time to seemingly address the speculations on the fate of “From Not to Hot.”

“Don’t worry. We will be back. Don’t worry [because] we’re not going anywhere. We have a couple big projects that I’m working on that I hope to share with you very, very soon. Cuz they’re coming up,” Mama June said in the clip.

Although the We TV star did say anything about whether or not one of those projects would be the sixth installment in their series, fans are convinced that their reality show will be picked up for another season.

“Well… looks like the show has been renewed. Good thing because my Friday nights are not complete without seeing you and your family,” one wrote.

“So glad that there will be another season! So proud of you for your hard work to continue to stay clean. I’m so happy for you that you have some new projects going on; make that money girl!!! Love you and your family!!” another commented.

“I hope next season has more episodes, this season flew by. Love you Mama June,” a third user added.

It was not the first time that Mama June teased new projects from her and her family. She also mentioned them when she addressed some family issues on her Instagram the previous week.

“Even though next week is the season finale we’re not going anywhere guys I have a huge project that I am very excited to share with you actually a couple of big projects I’m looking forward to sharing with y’all and I think that y’all will really enjoy them,” she wrote on the photo-sharing platform.

Meanwhile, the finale revealed that Mama June won’t have to be jailed after being charged with possession of crack cocaine. She avoided prison by agreeing to 100 hours of community service and court supervision.

Unfortunately, the final episode of the season, subtitled “Road to Redemption,” did not show Geno Doak’s fate. The 45-year-old boyfriend of Mama June has yet to hear the verdict on his case, so this might be highlighted in future episodes should We Tv renew the reality series.

It is important to note that Mama June admitted to her 21-year-old daughter, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, that she has nowhere to go should Geno receive jail time. She even begged Pumpkin to allow her to move in with the latter’s family, but the expectant mom wouldn’t allow it.

“I need to come back to Georgia and be your roommate,” Mama June told Pumpkin, who is currently pregnant with her second baby, in episode 12. But Pumpkin responded, “Mama, there is no way in hell you’re moving in with me!”
