Following on the heels of TLC’s official cancellation of “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” star Mama June Shannon took to Facebook Friday morning to release a video message for fans.

“This is a truth video and answering some of ya’ll question over the laws few months since we have had to stay quiet,” June posted on daughter Alana Thompson (Honey Boo Boo’s) Facebook page. “Hope this helps and a appreciation video to all our awesome fans over yrs…”

In the video, June told viewers that she received the call from TLC that morning and that “as of right now there will be no more production on the show.” However she stands by her earlier statement regarding Mark McDaniel, the 53-year-old convicted sex offender she is allegedly “secretly dating.”

“You know, the statement of me dating a sex offender is totally untrue,” June explained. “Pumpkin has openly said that I did not – am not – [dating] him and also his son. I would not ever, ever, ever put my kids in danger. I love my kids too much. That is my past. I have not seen that person in 10 years and don’t want to see that person.”

TMZ released a photo of June and McDaniel earlier this week. McDaniel was arrested in 2004 for aggravated child molestation against an 8-year-old relative of June’s. The sex offender was released from his 10-year sentence in March and reportedly rekindled his relationship with Mama June in the past few months. TMZ claimed that the photo it obtained was taken about a month ago when June and McDaniel were hosting a party at a hotel room.

June took to Alana’s Facebook page on Thursday evening to rebut the claims. The 35-year-old reality star and mother of four posted that fans “can’t believe” everything that is in the tabloids. Still, TLC decided to cancel the popular show.

“TLC has canceled the series ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ and ended all activities around the series, effective immediately,” the network said in a statement to USA Today. “Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority. TLC is faithfully committed to the children’s ongoing comfort and well-being.”

While Mama June seems to be handling the news well and still has plans to interact with fans of “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” other family members don’t seem so happy. Toward the end of June’s “truth video,” an unidentified family member tells the “Honey Boo Boo” matriarch to “shut up.”

“Hi, hello. We just want to come straight to you. A lot of people asked to get a comment from me about this current situation with the show. Just got a phone call this morning from TLC and as of right now there will be no more production of the show. You know, the statement of me dating a sex offender is totally untrue. Pumpkin has openly said that I did not – am not -- date him and also his son. I would not ever, ever, ever, put my kids in danger. I love my kids too much. That is my past. I have not seen that person in 10 years and don’t want to see that person.

We just want to thank from the bottom of our hearts the support that we have had from our fans since May 2012. That support, the love, careness, that all ya’ll fans have showed us. The experience has been awesome to us. The girls have been able to do things that they would not normally have to do. But we just want to thank ya’ll from the bottom of our heart.

We are still going to do our Christmas display if ya’ll choose to want to come out and meet the family still, to support our community. We are also going to keep updated throughout what’s going on with our life and everything.

This is the truth video. Me and Sugar really have broke up but we are friends and we have stayed civil. We’re better off friends than we were a couple. We actually came to notice that. Things happen for a reason in life and you live and learn and then you are able to do it.

The fan page has stayed quiet for a while because TLC has kind of told us to hush hush. But that is pretty much what’s going on. We’ll update later on but we just wanted to let ya’ll know from the bottom of our hearts that we actually love ya’ll and we do care about ya’ll and every fan out there that has ever, ever, ever done anything and supported us and took up for us and been there through all of our ups and our downs. We greatly, greatly, greatly appreciate everyone of ya’ll and from the bottom of our heart we want to let ya’ll know that. Thanks and have a great day and hopefully this answers somebody’s questions. If you have any more questions [shut up – says unidentified family member] you can post it down below or you are more than welcome to email us and we will answer any questions that you have. Thanks and have a great day.”
