  • The man is accused of using a phone messaging app to sell videos of himself participating in sexual acts with dogs
  • His girlfriend claimed the man made her perform a sexual act with a dog in order to make up for her cheating on him
  • The girlfriend pleaded guilty last month to two counts of crimes against nature

A 43-year-old man in Forsyth County, North Carolina, has been charged with federal crimes after allegedly creating videos of himself and his cheating girlfriend having sex with dogs and then attempting to sell those videos.

Timothy Lewis Blackmon, of Cain Forest Drive in Walkertown, Forsyth County, has been indicted by a federal grand jury on one count of possessing child pornography and one count of knowingly selling, marketing, advertising, exchanging and distributing an "animal crush" video, which is described as a man engaging in a sexual act with a live dog, CBS 17 reported.

Blackmon was arrested and charged with 19 counts of felony crime against nature in March, Fox 8 reported. He has since been in Forsyth County Jail with bond set at $750,000.

Those charges were dropped when a federal grand jury in July issued the indictments, which is a customary step by prosecutors.

Tracy Lynn Abbott, a 43-year-old Stokes County woman who was a co-defendant of Blackmon, was also arrested and charged with two counts of felony crime against nature in March.

Deputies with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said in March that they received a tip that a Forsyth County man was using a phone messaging app to sell videos of himself participating in sexual acts with dogs. Authorities then took steps to verify the allegations before obtaining a search warrant.

Forsyth County Assistant District Attorney Mark Parent reported that the tip came from a New Jersey man, who said he was on the messaging app Kik on March 20 when he watched a live stream featuring a user advertising home videos of himself performing sexual acts with his dogs, The Winston-Salem Journal reported, citing search warrants.

The user displayed a second device on the live stream and played the videos to prove that his advertisement was legitimate, according to the search warrants. The user said he had three dogs — two males and one female.

Parent also said that Abbott claimed Blackmon allegedly made her perform a sexual act with a dog as punishment for cheating on him, the outlet reported. The sexual act was filmed, and Abbott was identified in the video by her tattoos, the assistant district attorney said.

Investigators created an undercover account and joined a live broadcast from the user account, which was traced to Blackmon, according to the search warrants cited by the Journal.

The affidavit said the user talked about videos he posted the night before of his pit bull having sex with a woman. The woman was not identified. He charged $5 for the video.

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said in a news release in March that two dogs were seized from Blackmon's house and were placed in protective custody. The animals were then placed with the Forsyth Humane Society.

Abbott pleaded guilty to two counts of crimes against nature last month in Forsyth Superior Court.

She received a suspended sentence of three months to 13 months in prison and was placed on 18 months of supervised probation.

Blackmon is currently in Forsyth County Jail on a federal retainer. A hearing in U.S. District Court has not yet been scheduled.
