A man approached police with a quirky complaint to find his “stolen heart” in Indian city of Nagpur recently, leaving them confused.

Senior police officials said the man wanted to file a complaint stating that a girl had “stolen his heart” and officials should help him get it back. The bizarre case put the police station in-charge in a spot. He then contacted his superiors for advice in going about the case.

After an informal discussion with the superiors, the policeman came to the conclusion that no section under Indian laws dealt with such cases.

The officer eventually sent the youth back after telling him that they did not have a solution to his problem.

Nagpur Police Commissioner Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay shared the incident while interacting with the media during a function where the police department returned stolen goods worth 82 lakh Indian rupees ($116,435) to their respective owners.

"We can return stolen articles, but sometimes we also get such complaints which even we cannot solve,” Upadhyay said on a lighter note, India Today reported.

In a similar bizarre incident about a “stolen heart,” a man, who fell in love with a girl after seeing her on a train, pasted 4,000 posters of him between two train stations in the eastern Indian state of West Bengal last year. Not just that, in order to make it easier for the girl to identify him, he also made a seven minute movie.

Biswajit Poddar, a government employee, said he waited at the station every day, since the day the girl boarded the same train with her parents and sat opposite to him. He also said that he did not intend to embarrass her but only wanted her to find him, as he wasn’t able to forget her. He also wore the same T-shirt every day, that he wore on the day he saw her, hoping she would recognize him, India Times reported.

In another incident in January 2018, a woman kissed a man at the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris after she made a pact with her friends that she would enjoy a kiss atop the famous landmark. Her friends finally found a man who was ready to kiss her after he was informed about the pact. In a bid to find the mystery male kisser later, the woman shared the video of the kiss on Twitter. The woman got several positive reactions on Twitter, however, after full investigation on the social media site, it was revealed to the woman that the man was already in a relationship, the Cosmopolitan reported.
