A woman was killed, her corpse was dismembered, and her body parts were flushed down the toilet by her boyfriend in Mexico City over the weekend.

According to local reports, the man, identified as 46-year-old Erik Francisco Robledo, and his girlfriend, 25-year-old Ingrid Escamilla Vargas, got into a heated argument during which he killed the woman. The neighbors alerted the Citizen Safety Secretary (SSC) when they saw the accused leaving the apartment complex covered in blood. The accused was detained for questioning.

During interrogation, the man said his girlfriend and him “started to argue and we fought. She said she wanted to kill me and I said do it. She took a knife and I said do it at once. She stabbed me once and I said do it stronger. And she tried two more times”

He then killed her using the same knife before dismembering her dead body and throwing them down the toilet.

Confessing the same, the man said, “I used the same knife she attacked me with to stab her in her throat. I threw pieces of her dead body to the drainage system because I felt ashamed.”

During a search of the apartment, the police found the knife used in the murder. They also found the body parts inside a plastic bag a few blocks away from the building. The investigation into the case was ongoing and the man remained in custody as of Tuesday night.
