While the Premier League is finally back, transfer rumors were never on hold. For Manchester United, there have been some prominent names linked to the club in recent months.

The biggest name that could be on the move is Anthony Martial. After enduring some growing pains in the loaded United attack, the French forward had been enjoying arguably his best season with the club since arriving from Monaco in 2015. The 24-year-old scored 11 goals in 23 appearances in the Premier League before it returned this week. He also scored three goals in four Europa League matches.

Martial has once again been linked to Inter Milan, according to a report in the Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport. The report valued Martial at £52 million, which is probably a bargain given the marketplace.

A move between the two clubs wouldn't seem farfetched given Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and Ashley Young have all moved on to the Italian powerhouse.

However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may not want to move an established forward if there isn't a legitimate replacement.

The Sun recently reported that Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho might consider returning to former club Manchester City if Manchester United doesn't pay £115 million. The 20-year-old is considered one of England's brightest young stars but it may seem a little far-fetched that he would command such a fee. City may also make a stronger move to hold onto a player they groomed at age 14.

Another attacking player who could be headed to Old Trafford is Colombian James Rodriguez. The 28-year-old's term in Real Madrid has mostly been a disappointment, as he often been overlooked on the superstar roster by manager Zinedine Zidane. It would be interesting to see how much Rodriguez would command on the market. While a talented player, it's unclear what he can offer clubs after so much time on the bench and after many uninspiring performances.

For a club with deep pockets like United, taking chances on a player like Rodriguez may be necessary to stay competitive. The club spent big on several prominent players without seeing much of a return.

Other players linked to Manchester United include midfielders Donny van de Beek of Ajax and Cengiz Under of Roma. Leon Bailey, a winger for Borussia Dortmund, may also be on United's radar.
