  • Filming of "The Mandalorian" Season 2 has wrapped

Filming of “The Mandalorian” Season 2 has finally wrapped. The TV series will now move on to the postproduction phase of development, and the fans can expect to watch the show later this year.

Cast member Gina Carano, who will be reprising her role as Cara Dune, shared a picture of her from the production set on her Instagram page recently. In her post, she confirmed that the filming of Season 2 of the “Star Wars” live action TV series has wrapped. “I absolutely love this work and the people in it,” she wrote in the post and praised the storytelling.

The black and white picture that Carano shared online shows that there won’t be much of a difference in the costume for her character. She was sitting on what appears to be the entrance of the ship Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) used in the first season.

Carano also shared a behind-the-scenes picture from the production set of “The Mandalorian” Season 2 on Instagram recently. The photo doesn’t tease any details about the plot. In the post, the actress wrote that she adores “the freakin heck” out of the cast and crew of the TV series.

“Star Wars” creator George Lucas also visited the production set of the TV series in January. Executive Producer Jon Favreau shared a picture of the visit on his Instagram page, and the picture showed Lucas holding the puppet of the fan favourite character that is only referred to as The Child on the show, but the fans call it Baby Yoda.

The picture confirms that Baby Yoda will be back, but it is still not clear what the plot of the show will be. The show is expected to focus on the bounty hunter and The Child taking on the new villain Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito).

“The Mandalorian” Season 2 will be released in October.
