Marc Anthony recently returned to work just two days after his mom’s death.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the 47-year-old singer performed at the halftime show during the International Champions Cup match between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona in Miami over the weekend. Anthony performed a four-song medley of some of his most popular songs, including “I Need to Know” and “Vivir Mi Vida.”

Following his performance, Anthony walked across the field looking somber. He was wearing a black suit and tie and dark sunglasses. A photo of Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband leaving the sold-out arena was also posted online via Miami Herald’s Instagram account.

On Thursday, Anthony announced the untimely demise of his mother. On his Twitter account, the dad-of-five posted a short but touching tribute to his “hero, rock, protector, inspiration and angel.” According to Univision, Quiñones has been confined at a hospital in Puerto Rico for quite some time, and Anthony and his girlfriend, Raffaella Modugno, have been visiting her regularly.

A few days prior to her death, Anthony also asked his friends and family for prayers for Quiñones via Twitter. After her death, Lopez shared a sweet photo of Anthony surrounded by all of his children. Lopez and Anthony’s 9-year-old twins, Max and Emme, were also in the picture. In her caption, Lopez said that she will miss Anthony’s mom.

Despite their divorce, Lopez and Anthony have maintained an amicable relationship with each other. They are also supporting their twins together.

Last year, Lopez opened up about her failed marriage to Antony and said that it wasn’t an easy thing to deal with. “When my marriage ended, it wasn’t easy to find forgiveness. It wasn’t the dream that I had hoped for, and it would have been easier to fan the flames of resentment, disappointment and anger. But Marc is the father of my children, and that’s never going away. So I have to work to make things right. And that is, by far, the hardest work I do,” she told W magazine.

Just recently, Lopez and Anthony have also teamed up for the actress’ Spanish album. Lopez released “Ni Tu Ni Yo” earlier this month with the help of her ex-husband.
