March Madness 2021 is finally here, which means it’s time to fill out your bracket. Whether you’re a diehard college basketball fan or haven’t watched a game all year, trying to predict the winner of every NCAA Tournament matchup is a tradition unlike any other.

In order to enter a March Madness pool, you’ll need to complete an empty bracket. Click here to download a printable bracket in PDF form that includes every team with its first-round matchup.

Filling out a bracket requires picking 63 games, from the first round to the national championship game. Most pools don’t ask participants to pick any of the First Four games, which are all set to take place Thursday.

There wasn’t much debate regarding the four No. 1 seeds in this year’s field. Gonzaga is atop the West region and ranked first overall after going undefeated in the regular season and its conference tournament. Big Ten champion Illinois is the No. 1 seed in the Midwest region. Baylor earned the top seed in the South region with a 22-2 record, and Michigan is the East region’s No. 1 seed at 20-4.

Virginia won the 2019 national championship as a No. 1 seed and is back in the tournament as a No.4 seed. The last three NCAA Tournaments have been won by No. 1 seeds.

At least one team seeded No. 5 or lower has reached the last seven Final Fours. It’s been seven years since a team seeded lower than No. 3 made it to the national title game.

A few March Madness staples won’t be found on the 2021 NCAA bracket. Duke, Kentucky and Louisville all failed to make the tournament.

Four teams have been pegged as alternates in case positive COVID-19 tests force a team to withdraw from March Madness. NCAA rules stipulate that teams can remain in the field as long as they have five healthy and eligible players.

Travel is not much of a factor in 2021, as the entire tournament will take place in Indiana.
