“Two Days, One Night” Oscar-nominee Marion Cotillard wore a white Christian Dior haute couture dress on the red carpet for the 2015 Oscars Sunday. The ensemble sent Twitter abuzz, with dozens of memes created in Cotillard’s honor.

“I chose it because I felt comfortable in it,” the French actress, 39, said. The Hollywood Reporter labeled the dress “unreal” and noted 36 percent of winners wear white. Could tonight be Cotillard’s night?

“Fashion Police” host Kelly Osbourne told E! News she wasn’t sure of the dress at first and used the word “geisha” several times to describe the frock. While the dress might be receiving backlash on Twitter, Osbourne said it could start a trend. Right now, it’s not something many people have seen, but it could be popular at upcoming fashion events.

“Interesting” might be a nice term some people used to describe the dress. The front seemed relatively ordinary, but the back had two appendages. Last year, Jennifer Lawrence wore a white Dior dress that drew attention, with some saying she looked like she was wearing toilet paper with black wire tape. This year, people still weren’t as nice in commenting on Cotillard’s 2015 Oscars look.

There were, however, some who were enamored with the dress.
