A McDonald’s employee was caught on camera body-slamming a customer and beating her after she tried to fill her water cup with soda. The brawl broke out at a McDonald’s outlet in Las Vegas after a female customer supposedly asked for a water cup so she could fill it up with soda in the fast food joint.

Marie Dayag, a Nevada resident, who was at the restaurant when the fight started, made a video of the incident and uploaded it Wednesday to multiple social media outlets including Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. While her videos were deleted from the two former platforms, it was still online on YouTube at the time this story was written.

“The lady asked for a water cup and supervisor shut down the soda machine because she wasn’t letting her get a free soda,” according to Dayag, Mail Online reported.

Although it is not clear what prompted the customer to get angry, snippets of audio suggested that it might have been money which started the whole thing. The worker told the customer at one point, “…since you can't afford one,” to which, the latter replied, “that's why you’re a-- is behind the f------ counter.”

After the customer hurled her glass of milkshake at the employee, the woman behind the counter charged at her, only to be hit in the head with a metal tray that the customer picked up and swung. At that point, the restaurant worker launcher herself at the customer and started punching the latter repeatedly on the face and shoulders. She even picked up the customer by her hair and body-slammed her on a table nearby.

The customer suffered a wardrobe malfunction early on in the fight but did not stop brawling. Both the individuals also used an array of expletives during the fight. Seeing that the two were showing no signs of stopping, other restaurant staff as well as some customers intervened and pulled them apart. The customer, then, started fighting with a second employee who dragged her away from the brawl.

“Stop!” the second staff member told the customer, but the latter kept on slapping and punching her. That restarted the fight with the second employee returning the punches.

During the renewed fight, one of the customer’s punches landed on the first employee’s face and she picked up the former and body-slammed her for a second time on another table.

As the heated brawl finally came to an end, the customer adjusted her clothes. But then she went back and picked up a chair, threatening to the restart it all over again. The first employee first dared the customer to attack her with the chair, then took the chair from the customer and kept it on the floor before walking back to the counter.

McDonald's said it was investigating the incident. "We do not condone the behaviour depicted in this video,” a spokesperson for the company told TMZ.
