McDonald’s (MCD) is giving away free food this week as part of its Camp McDonald’s promotion, which will wrap up with an online performance from Kid Cudi.

Camp McDonald’s is a virtual, in-app experience that offers food deals and menu hacks, such as the Apple Pie McFlurry, as well as music performances and exclusive merchandise on the burger chain’s app, McDonald’s said.

The daily deals are redeemable through the McDonald’s app – a free download in the Apple App and Google Play stores - at participating restaurants throughout the week.

This week's food deals include:

  • Monday: Free Iced Coffee with $1 minimum purchase
  • Tuesday: $5 for 20 piee McNuggets
  • Wednesday: BOGO McFlurry
  • Thursday: Kid Cudi Camp Merchandise Drop
  • Friday: Free McChicken with $1 minimum purchase
  • Saturday: $2 Big Mac
  • Sunday: Kid Cudi performance that can be accessed with a $1 minimum purchase in the McDonald’s app.

The July giveaway will also include a merchandise drop from the chain that will include Kid Cudi T-shirts, sweatshirts, socks, hats, and bags. Merchandise can be purchased through the McDonald’s app with a minimum $1 purchase.

Kid Cudi merchandise is available 14 days after a qualifying purchase is made while supplies last, while the Kid Cudi performance is available seven days after a qualifying purchase.

This is not the first time that McDonald’s has teamed up with a performer for a promotion. In 2020, the chain bet on rapper Travis Scott, Reggaeton singer J Balvin, K-pop group BTS, and hiphop artist Saweetie to attract new customers into its restaurants with specialized combo meals advertised as a favorite meal from the stars.

Kid Cudi is known for his hits such as “Pursuit of Happiness” and “Day ‘n’ Nite.” The singer has 3.4 million followers on Instagram.
