Meghan Markle, the bright-eyed, stunning California native who is engaged to marry Prince Harry, was just a 9-year-old girl in 1991. As the “Suits” actress focuses on planning her royal wedding, her estranged family shared an old video of the actress enjoying a fun day at the park.

Markle’s nephew, Tyler Dooley, and his mother, Tracy, released the clip, which features the star at Encino Park in Los Angeles feeding ducks, playing with a baby and enjoying what looks to be a family day.

Tracy, who was once married to Markle’s half-brother, had nothing but nice things to say about Prince Harry’s fiancée. “She is Meghan, who is the same Meghan as she was growing up — vivacious, smart, talented,” she told Inside Edition.

“She wanted to be a good woman and a woman that could help the world be a better place,” she added.

Although Tracy and her son have not received an invite to the royal wedding, they continue to support Markle from afar and believe it would be a “great honor” if the were asked to attend the nuptials.

A source previously told E! News that the 36-year-old was hoping to break the royal tradition of having the bride’s father, if he is alive, walk her down the aisle, and instead would like her mother, Doria Ragland, to escort her.

However, Tyler told the media outlet that the actress’ reclusive father, Thomas Markle, would like to walk his daughter down the aisle. “He loves his daughter probably more than anything in the whole world and of course he wants to be there and he wants to be part of that,” she explained.

“I don’t think what he wants, though, is to be bombarded by everyone.”

Whether they are watching her wedding from home or are seated at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, Tyler still has fond memories of his aunt and their time together.

“She was the fun one, she was the one who just [said to] us, ‘Hey, yeah you can stay up late,’” he said.

“She was so cool; I wanted to be just like her,” he added.

Markle and Prince Harry are expected to tie the knot on May 19 in England.
