Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could announce their second baby this year.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced in January that they were stepping back as senior members of the royal family. Following their move, they will no longer be taking royal engagements. Also, they will be working to be financially independent.

According to royal expert Omid Scobie, Prince Harry and Markle’s time away from the royal spotlight means that there will be no new patronages. The next big thing for the couple is the launching of their foundation and possibly the announcement of Archie’s sibling.

“I think the big thing next year is the launch of the Sussex Royal Foundation, that is their focus now,” Scobie said on Yahoo’s “Royal Box.”

“Although they’re technically not working at the moment I don’t believe for a second that they’re not spending time planning this because a launch will be around the end of the first quarter, beginning of second quarter, of next year. So that will very much really see 2020 for them. I don’t think we’ll see many new patronages or anything like that. I think it will really focus on what they have on the table now - possibly another baby, who knows.”

Markle has sparked pregnancy rumors following her and Prince Harry’s bombshell announcement. In February, they were seen in Canada after looking for new business ventures in the U.S. and the duchess was noticeably carrying a laptop sleeve which she held strategically to cover her stomach.

Markle also did the same during her tour with Prince Harry in Australia before they announced their pregnancy. Thus, many were convinced that Markle was expecting after she made the same gesture.

Also, the bookmakers are convinced that another Sussex baby is on the way soon. Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead said that there might be four royal babies coming this year from Princess Eugenie, Princess Beatrice, Kate Middleton and Markle.

“We are almost certainly going to see some more new children over the next few years, with Beatrice and Eugenie potentially likely to start families in the near future. However we make Harry and Meghan the most likely to announce a pregnancy this year, at just evens in our book,” Aitkenhead said.
