Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will unlikely heal their ongoing rift with the royal family.

Weeks after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their decision to be financially independent of The Firm, the royal couple’s portrait has reportedly been removed.

According to Express, Prince Harry and Markle’s photo used to be on display on a large table in one of the palace’s grand foyers. The portrait was placed opposite a picture of Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their three children.

But after Prince Harry and Markle’s bombshell exit, Queen Elizabeth has decided to remove the royal couple’s photo. After all, they are no longer considered as official members of the British clan.

The publication claimed that the removal of the couple’s photo will unlikely help heal their rift with the royal family. Since their split, Prince Harry and Markle have been living a quiet life in Canada with their 10-month-old son, Archie.

On Valentine’s Day, the royal couple stepped out in public following their trip to the United States. Photos of Prince Harry and Markle show them disembarking from their commercial flight. The royal couple is also carrying their own bags.

Contrary to the rumors that the Duke of Sussex is regretting his decision to quit the royal family, it seems that he and his wife are happy to be living away from London. Photos show the royal couple smiling from ear to ear as they head to their car.

Last week, National Enquirer reported that Prince Harry is begging Queen Elizabeth to return to the royal family.

“Harry’s miserable and beside himself with sorrow. He feels alone and cut off and is terrified of how he’ll handle the future and pay the bills,” an unnamed source said.

The insider added that Prince Harry called his grandmother to apologize for the humiliation that he has caused and stressed the fact that he only wants to protect Markle and Archie.

“He said Meghan was unhappy and longed to escape from the confines of life in the royal fishbowl. But now, he sees he acted too soon — and should have demanded Meghan obey the rules,” the insider said.
