Meghan Markle reunited with her childhood friend, Katharine McPhee, during an outing with their respective husbands, Prince Harry and David Foster.

On Tuesday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were photographed stepping out for a double date with McPhee and Foster. The two couples dined together at Lucky's Steakhouse in Montecito, California.

For the outing, Markle donned Club Monaco’s Reissue trench coat, a camel-colored top, black trousers and orange mules. She completed her look with a face mask and a black Stella McCartney purse, Entertainment Tonight reported.

Prince Harry, on the other hand, opted for a white button-down, dark pants and brown shoes. The duke also wore a face mask for the outing.

This was the first time the Sussexes had been spotted out and about in the area since purchasing a property in Santa Barbara and moving to their new home in July with their 1-year-old son, Archie.

Markle and McPhee have known each other since they were kids. The "Terrified" singer went to Immaculate Heart Middle School, while her older sister, Adriana, attended the same school as Markle in Los Angeles.

The "American Idol" alum earlier revealed that she and Markle used to perform in musicals together.when she shared a throwback photo of them last year.

"Meghan and I did musicals together as kids. She grew up to be the Duchess of Sussex and I grew up to star on the West End, so same life if you ask me. #TBT," McPhee posted on Instagram in February 2019.

Like McPhee and Markle, their husbands are also friends. Foster helped the Duke and Duchess of Sussex find a place for their holiday getaway in Vancouver Island in Canada last year. Prince Harry and Markle occupied a $14 million estate in North Saanich that was owned by Foster's friend during their stay.

"I felt honored that I was able to help Meghan there, because I'm a Canadian and we're a commonwealth country, we're the Crown's," Foster told Daily Mail in January.

"It's important to us, so I grew up with that kind of sentiment," he added. "I was really happy to be able to help them to find a respite just to take a little time off."

Meanwhile, an unnamed source confirmed to ET that Foster and McPhee are expecting their first child together. The couple is very excited over their bundle of joy, according to the tipster.
