Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been facing several controversies and criticisms since they first sparked romance reports in 2016. Though the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are happy with their married life -- especially with the arrival of Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor, malicious rumors and issues continue to hound the couple.

Recently, Meghan got hate comments again after she posted a heartfelt message in the spirit of Christmas on Instagram. The post, which now has a total of 132,598 likes, featured a collage of snaps from charities that are known for helping the needy.

“With the festive holiday season upon us, it’s also a reminder to reflect on those in need – those who may feel lonely, hungry, homeless, or may be experiencing the holidays for the first time without loved ones,” a part of the caption read. “It’s an important time of year to help those around you who may be less fortunate, or who would appreciate even the smallest act of kindness,” Meghan Markle and Prince Harry went on.

Avid followers of the Sussex couple were quick to praise them in the comment section. “Please know that he AWESOME job you're both doing is DEEPLY APPRECIATED,” one Instagram user wrote. “Yes, well said, indeed. ❤ Such a nice gesture,” Giulia Guidi stated. “We love you Meghan and Harry! ❤❤ ,” a third netizen said.

Others criticized Meghan Markle and Prince Harry for using the term “Holiday” instead of “Christmas.” “In Europe we say ‘Christmas’ not ‘Holiday’!” Hanne Donovan commented. “It’s Christmas please, not the ‘holiday season’ - that’s American. We are a Christian country and you have both been baptised and christened. I am very happy to honour others’ holidays but this that we celebrate on 25th Dec is Christmas,” Janet Tinker wrote.

There were also a few who suggested that Meghan and Prince Harry should walk their talk. “Hope you are doing the same and not just preaching as usual,” Melanie Sykes said. “Are you ok Megs? Start by showing some charity to your father!” Agnes Destacamento stated. “Why don’t you two pampered brats get a real JOB and stop living off the taxpayers and then preaching to people while you take a 6-week ‘break’ and still get paid,” another user commented.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have yet to comment on these harsh commentaries. Meanwhile, the couple is, currently, on a break from their Royal duties and responsibilities. Meghan and Harry are said to be in the U.S. right now as they spend quality time with their first bundle of joy. The Sussex family is, also, expected to spend Christmas at Doria Ragland’s home in Los Angeles.
