Meghan Markle should finally let go of her dad, Thomas Markle Sr., according to a relationship expert.

Michelle Zelli, a family relationship coach, told Express that Markle has already tried various ways to fix her strained bond with her dad and it seems that nothing has worked to this day. “Her little girl within will want to desperately trust Thomas Markle but the reality is that as an adult woman, she now has a ream of evidence that he cannot be trusted to have her best interests at heart. The uncomfortable truth will be hard to swallow,” she said.

Zelli said that with the arrival of Markle’s baby in the Spring and with her marriage to Prince Harry, the Duchess of Sussex should think of who she really wants in her life. As tempting as it might be to return to her father’s arms especially after Thomas’ heart attack, she would most likely regret this decision later on.

“Every daughter deserves a loyal and loving father. As sad as it is, Meghan, it’s time to walk away,” she said.

Zelli’s statement will most definitely not sit well with Thomas and Markle’s half-siblings, Samantha and Thomas Jr., who have been urging her to reach out and meet with their dad. Thomas previously claimed that Markle has not called her since before her royal wedding on May 19, 2018, but this was proven to be false.

The “Suits” alum wrote a letter to her dad telling him that she tried to call her a couple of times and even asked someone to go to his house after he suffered from a heart attack. Markle also called her dad a couple of time, but she never picked up.

Markle also denied the rumors that her dad told her that he wouldn’t make it to her wedding and said that this never happened. After Thomas made his daughter’s letter’s public, he also accused Prince Harry of influencing Markle to write in the way that she did.
