Many followers of the royal family are still shocked by the fact that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are no longer considered as senior royals after they announced their decision to step down early this year. Though the Sussex couple claimed that their desire to live a simpler life away from the scrutinizing eyes of the public is the primary reason behind their choice, rumors are rife that their ongoing feud with Prince William and Kate Middleton has, also, contributed to the controversial “Megxit.”

Star Magazine, in its upcoming April 6, 2020 issue, claimed that Meghan tried to reach out to Kate during her last royal engagement. Most fans can recall that Prince Harry and the former “Suits” actress joined the other members of the royal family during the Commonwealth Day celebration in Westminster Abbey on March 9. Though the Sussex pair was all smiles during the event, reports claimed that the tension between them and the Cambridges is very palpable.

“It was a real slap in the face, especially the way Kate gave Meghan the cold shoulder. Meghan tried to take the high road and strike up a conversation, but Kate basically blanked her,” a source told the entertainment news outlet. “William and Kate totally scorned Harry and Meghan. It’s got to be the nail in the coffin for that relationship,” another tipster claimed.

Despite their alleged spat with Prince William and Kate Middleton, Meghan and Prince Harry have, reportedly, remained close at heart with the other members of the royal family. The father of Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor is, allegedly, grateful for the time he got to spend with Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, and Prince Charles during their recent trip to the United Kingdom.

"Of course, it's anyone's guess if that'll come to pass," the insider stated. "Harry and Meghan's wish for a fresh start has finally come true -- and they're not looking back," it went on.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have yet to comment on these claims.

Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to be living in Los Angeles amid the coronavirus pandemic. Meghan and Prince Harry are, reportedly, more focused on Archie and their family. “They are trying to make the best of it and are enjoying all the time together as a family,” an E! News source claimed. It added that Archie “brings a great deal of joy” to his parents, especially during these trying times.
