Meghan Markle’s dad admitted to taking drugs when he was still working in the film industry several years ago.

James Beal, the U.S. editor for The Sun, said that Thomas Markle Sr. sniffed the Class A drug between 1970 and 1980.

“In the industry, I worked in back in the ‘70s and ‘80s there’s cocaine a lot. And I’m sure that I had an occasional sniff of cocaine,” he said.

Three months ago, Thomas told Express that he has not taken drugs for the past 20 years.

“I hardly drink at all, just a little wine with my dinner, nothing much. I don’t do drugs, haven’t for more than 20 years. I’ve been seen carrying a six-pack of beer and they say I have a drinking problem. I regularly buy a six-pack for the guys on the guard gate because they’re stuck in a hot shack for hours each day and could use a cold one. I don’t drink beer at all,” he said.

Meanwhile, Thomas also said that he enjoyed going to a Playboy Club when he was younger, but he never paid anyone for sex.

“I would go upstairs and enjoy myself in the Playboy Club, but not… not for sex. I don’t get sex out of it,” he said.

Thomas has not spoken to his daughter for months. He was previously invited to her royal wedding but was unable to attend due to his heart attack. Since then, Thomas has tried to reach out to the Duchess of Sussex but to no avail.

During one of his latest interviews, the former lighting director claimed that he hung up on Prince Harry after the Duke of Sussex sounded a bit preachy towards him.

Thomas’ other daughter, Samantha Markle, has also tried to reach out to her half-sister by going to Kensington Palace, but they weren’t able to meet face to face. Samantha left a letter to one of the palace guards in the hopes that Markle will read it one day.

“I wanted to express the feelings of my father and myself in the letter. And I can’t say exactly what was in it. The world will just have to wait and see,” she told Daily Mail.
