Meghan Markle recently opened up about an incident wherein she got rejected by someone.

On Thursday, the Duchess of Sussex visited women’s charity Smart Works, one of her four royal patronages. The charity aims to help long-term unemployed women return to the workforce by providing them with clothes and training to get them ready for interviews.

Markle revealed that she had already visited the charity before. During this visit, she offered a handbag that she personally donated, but thr duchess got rejected.

“The last time I was here I suggested a purse to someone,” Markle shared. “It was one that I had donated and she didn’t like it, I said ‘Oh, ok.’”

“I thought it was great!” Markle said about the item she donated.

Markle admitted that she was happy to visit the charity. She has been visiting them for almost a year and feels that it’s nice to finally make her visits public.

Queen Elizabeth II gave Markle four patronages and she is expected to visit all four in the coming weeks. Aside from Smart Works, Markle is the new patron of National Theatre, the Association of Commonwealth Universities and animal charity Mayhew.

The favors that Queen Elizabeth II gave to Markle sparked new rumors that the monarch loves Markle more than Kate Middleton. When the Duchess of Cambridge was new to the royal fold, Her Majesty only gave her one charity and it was not a solo honor. Middleton shared it with Prince William and Prince Harry.

On the other hand, Markle received three more patronages than her sister-in-law. In addition, the patronages were all hers.

Tim Teeman, a journalist for the Daily Beast, felt that the Queen was giving Markle a royal reset. The royals wanted to end the rumors about Markle and Middleton because even if they had a friendly reunion during their Christmas walk, it only did little to quell the rumors about their ghastly row.

Body language expert Judi James also felt that the two duchesses only put a united front for the cameras. According to her, Middleton exerted more effort than Markle in the said outing. The Duchess of Cambridge took a matriarchal role and was keeping her future role as a queen in mind.
