  • Donald Trump and Melania Trump attended the observance of Veterans Day together
  • Twitter users have mixed reactions to Melania holding a soldier's arm during the ceremony
  • Some said Melania’s gesture is not a big issue because the other ladies at the event did the same

Melania Trump distanced herself from her husband Donald Trump during the observance of Veterans Day, according to some Twitter users.

The POTUS and FLOTUS stepped out together on Wednesday to celebrate Veterans Day. They arrived at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery together. However, many noticed that the First Lady was walking with a soldier beside her and was even holding his arm instead of her husband’s, prompting some Twitter users to react because she seems to be not fond of holding hands with her husband.

"I noticed Melania walked with her arm attached to a soldier but didn't hold her husband's hand," one commented.

"Yeah, check out his expression, not happy but really I was wondering why she's not walking with trump and is instead in arm with the soldier guy," another wrote.

"Melania is holding the soldier’s arm and she always refuses to hold Trump’s hand. She pushes it away," a different user added.

"Melania didn't mind holding that soldier's arm. She got closer to him than she has [with] Trump in the last 10 years," Emmie Sullivan wrote.

"Melania grabbed that military soldier's arm like she never grabs onto Trump. LOL," @SassyDragonfly added.

Meanwhile, one speculated that it was staged. Also, another user said it was a hint that Melania was not pleased with her prenup with the POTUS.

"Melania is on a soldiers arm instead of Donald’s. Interesting. Staged," one wrote.

"Melania choosing to hold onto a soldier’s arm instead of Trump’s at Arlington just SCREAMS she’s p-ss-d about the prenup,” Monica Clancy tweeted.

Despite the various speculations, some believed that Melania held onto the soldier’s arm for support because it was raining and she was wearing high heels. Another user also noticed that it wasn't Melania alone who walked and held onto a soldier's arm because the other ladies behind her did the same, so people shouldn't make any issue out of it.
