Michael Phelps Girlfriend: Win McMurry, Golf Channel Personality, Joins Phelps On ESPY Awards Red Carpet; Are They Dating? [PHOTOS]

As the owner of a record setting 18 Olympic gold medals, swimmer Michael Phelps is certainly one of America’s most eligible bachelors. However, if his appearance at Wednesday night’s 2013 ESPY Awards red carpet is any indication, the “Baltimore Bullet” may have a new girlfriend.

Phelps was spotted on the red carpet of the 21st annual ESPY Awards with Win McMurry, a stunning blonde and noted Golf Channel television reporter. While neither side has confirmed a relationship, the couple’s appearance at the ESPYs, along with a recent sighting at a golf tournament, has sparked speculation that McMurry may be Phelps’ girlfriend.

In May, Phelps appeared to accompany McMurry to the PGA Tour’s Players Championship, serving as her caddy, sports blog Busted Coverage reported. Soon after, McMurry hinted at the possible relationship on Instagram, posting a picture of her and Phelps with this caption: “Thanks for the superb caddying … you were great with all 13 clubs in my bag.” Despite being an Olympic swimmer, Phelps has discussed his love for the game of golf on several occasions.

McMurry may not be as famous as Phelps, but she’s well respected in professional golf as a reporter and Golf Channel personality. According to her official website, the 28-year-old graduated from the University of North Carolina, and previously worked for CBS Sports.

This isn’t the first time that an alleged Michael Phelps girlfriend has captured the media’s attention. In 2012, the decorated Olympian was linked to Megan Rossee, a 25-year-old aspiring model. The couple enjoyed a highly publicized romance, but split last December after less than a year of dating, The Huffington Post reported.

Although Phelps ended the relationship to “pursue other options,” he seemed to address the breakup in a cryptic tweet, writing, “Things happen for a reason…#notme.” Hopefully, Phelps and new girlfriend McMurry won’t go through a similarly messy split.
