Microsoft’s upcoming flagship devices reportedly include the Lumia 940 and the bigger sibling Lumia 940 XL. Over a period of time, a slew of rumored Microsoft Lumia 940 specifications and features have been leaked by credible sites. But now, several concept designs of the upcoming Lumia handsets have surfaced.

Concept Renderings, Futuristic Features

The concept renderings of the high-end Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL have been brilliantly designed by Lucas F. Silva. The renderings look a bit like the erstwhile Omnia Windows Phone under the Samsung brand. Interested readers can check out the renderings via Concept Phones. The designer has also listed a slew of specifications. The standout features include 3D Touch capability, an iris scanner and a fingerprint sensor. Two speakers can be seen toward the tail end of the front and back of the device. Speaking of design, the handsets look slim and feature a metallic/aluminum chassis. The corners are reportedly rounded and Microsoft will reportedly release the handset in five different colors.

Specifications

In early May, Unleash the Phones listed the Lumia 940 XL specifications, tipped by a source. According to that site, the premium high-end Lumia 940 XL is reportedly code-named Cityman. And this handset will reportedly feature a 5.7-inch display with QHD resolution. Under the hood, the device will be powered by a Qualcomm chip along with an octa-core processor and will be backed by 3 GB of RAM configuration.

When it comes to memory specification, 32 GB of built-in storage capacity can be expected with microSD card support for further expansion. As for camera configuration, the primary sensor will reportedly be a 20 MP unit, in addition to a gracious 5 MP selfie camera at the front. Furthermore, the Lumia 940 XL will reportedly come equipped with a good 3,300 mAh removable battery unit.

Moving on to the specifications of the Lumia 940, code-named Talkman, the handset will reportedly sport a 5.2 inch QHD display, a hexa-core Qualcomm processor, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of memory with microSD card support, 20 MP primary camera, 5 MP secondary camera and a 3,000 mAh removable battery unit. To top it off, both the Lumia handsets will reportedly feature a triple-LED flash, guaranteeing more natural colors. Nonetheless, Microsoft has not confirmed the Lumia 940 XL and Lumia 940 specifications thus far.
