The end of a hilarious era is near.

On Monday, May 16, the hit CBS series “Mike & Molly,” starring Billy Gardell and Melissa McCarthy, will conclude its six seasons with an hourlong finale. That means fans of the sidesplitting sitcom can expect twice the laughs — and the feels — during the emotional double-header.

What can fans expect from the final episode of the comedy created by Mark Roberts? Well, the synopsis for both episode 12, titled “Curse of the Bambino,” and episode 13, “I See Love” (also the name of the show’s theme song), teases closure for audiences.

In episode 12, which will kick off at 8 p.m. EDT, Carl (Reno Wilson) will convince his buddy and partner-in-crime to go with him to see his psychic. And if we’ve learned anything about Mike throughout the past six years, it’s that he’ll be quite skeptical of Carl’s alleged fortuneteller. Meanwhile, Peggy (Rondi Reed) “drags Molly to her church to pray for something they’ve all be waiting for.”

After the half-hour installment, episode 13 will follow to sweetly tie up the beloved series. According to the summary, Mike, Molly and their family will have an impromptu gathering to “reminisce about everything that has gotten them to this point.”

But audiences won’t be reaching for their tissues throughout the entire finale. It’s promised the fans can expect the series to tie up with a final, silly fight between Joyce (Swoosie Kurtz) and Peggy (Rondi Reed).

In December 2015, CBS confirmed that “Mike & Molly,” which began in 2010, had been canceled. The news not only shocked fans but also the cast. Reed addressed the cancellation in a Facebook post, stating that the “network has its reasons.” “I will not get into a debate, discussion, or campaign to get them to change their minds,” she added.

Gardell also responded to the surprising cancellation on Twitter, thanking fans who supported the show for its six-season run.

“Mike & Molly” will airs its hourlong series finale on Monday, May 16, at 8 p.m. EDT.
