Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger have told their friends that they want to get married, TMZ reported Thursday, citing sources. The report comes just days after the singer addressed rumors of expecting a baby with her boyfriend whom she has been dating for a few months.

According to TMZ, multiple sources claim that the couple is serious about the relationship and have expressed a desire to get married. Cyrus is reportedly going out of her way to impress Patrick’s mother, Maria Shriver, who believes that the 22-year-old is “a negative influence” on her son. Cyrus has also been dressing conservatively when she’s in the company of her potential mother-in-law, TMZ reported.

Earlier this year, reports had surfaced that Patrick could lose access to his family's trust fund, worth $49 million, if he continued his relationship with Cyrus. However, the 21-year-old reportedly said he would "rather be with Miley than have the money."

Meanwhile, amid reports that Arnold Schwarzenegger approved of his son’s relationship with Cyrus, Patrick’s sister, Katherine, spoke out about the relationship.

“'I think they're adorable. I mean if my brother's happy then I'm happy and so that's all that matters to me,” Katherine reportedly said Wednesday, during an interview with TV host Mario Lopez.
