The COVID-19 Pandemic has officially swung into Boston and uprooted everything for the gang, with some of the friends stranded in places they didn’t expect to be, health screenings and treatments canceled and work commitments completely shut down, forcing everyone to adjust to a new normal on “A Million Little Things.”

Not only did Eddie (David Giuntoli) need to find a new way to cope with his pain after his appointment to get shots was deemed non-essential and therefore canceled, but the pandemic saw changes to Regina’s (Christina Moses) restaurant, Rome’s (Romany Malco) movie and both Maggie (Allison Miller) and Delilah’s (Stephanie Szostak) travel plans. Now, with Maggie also dealing with the shocking news the doctor gave her at her cancer check-up that she was pregnant, she will be forced to try and figure out what the best moves for her life are going forward.

According to a synopsis, Gary (James Roday Rodriguez) will become a solid support system for her as a result, but it could lead to trouble for his relationship with Darcy (Floriana Lima).

“Maggie is forced to face the harsh reality that cancer still controls her life, while Gary must choose between supporting a friend in need and building his relationship with Darcy,” a synopsis reads.

As it turns out, the more he helps Maggie—including giving her a place to stay at his apartment—will cause Darcy to question his commitment to her, according to a promo for the episode.

Meanwhile, Regina was forced to close Someday due to restrictions on eating out in restaurants and will have to pivot to providing takeout and delivery orders only for her customers, and since Rome is now out of work with his movie shut down, he will step in to try and help his wife out.

“Rome helps Regina at Someday during the COVID-19 transition,” the synopsis reads.

However, according to the trailer, he may do more harm than help.

“A Million Little Things” airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
