The Miss Universe Organization has announced that the 70th competition will be held in Israel in December, in the southern luxury resort city of Eilat.

In a tweet, the organization stated that the event will feature new hosts, with Mario Lopez and Olivia Culpo taking over for Steve Harvey, and that it will be able to be watched in 180 countries with a simultaneous broadcast on Fox and Telemundo.

The pageant uses the crown to celebrate women, with the organization itself touting its ultimate goal on its website.

“The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) is a global, inclusive organization that celebrates women of all cultures and backgrounds and empowers them to realize their goals through experiences that build self-confidence and create opportunities for success,” the website states.

The last woman crowned was Miss Universe 2020, Andrea Meza, from Mexico. Meza, a former software engineer and woman’s rights advocate will be on hand to crown her successor.
