Agility is a quality more readily associated with companies than universities. At Galgotias University, there is a recognition that the nature of work is changing quickly and universities need to combine academic rigour with the ability to respond at a similar pace.

That approach has now received national recognition. At the Times Now Education Summit 2026, Galgotias University was honoured for Excellence in Industry-Aligned Curriculum & Student Entrepreneurship Ecosystem, with the award presented by Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister for Labour & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India. The recognition puts the spotlight on an academic model where industry participation extends across curriculum, technology, applied learning and entrepreneurship.

Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, automation and electric mobility are already changing how companies work and the skills they require. For a student entering a four-year programme, technologies and professional practices can change considerably by the time of graduation.

Galgotias University is responding by bringing industry, technology and application closer to the academic experience while maintaining strong disciplinary foundations. Its industry-aligned curriculum, industry partnerships and strong placement record are closely connected to this approach.

Industry Engagement Starts with the Curriculum

At Galgotias University, industry engagement starts early in the academic journey.

Collaborations with Accenture LearnVantage, IBM, Tata Technologies, Microsoft, byteXL and L&T EduTech bring industry knowledge, technologies and practitioner perspectives into the academic environment.

Industry-integrated programmes give students exposure to contemporary technologies alongside the fundamentals of their disciplines.

The collaboration with Accenture LearnVantage brings industry inputs into undergraduate programmes in technology and management, with exposure to areas including artificial intelligence, cloud and data. The Microsoft and byteXL collaboration connects computer science education with AI and machine learning, including Generative AI, Cloud AI and intelligent applications.

The aim is to maintain academic depth while keeping students closely connected with developments taking place across industry.

Curriculum That Keeps Pace with Change

At Galgotias University, the curriculum is reviewed regularly to ensure that it remains relevant and reflects significant developments across industries and professions.

Industry inputs and benchmarking feed into the academic process through Programme Assessment Committees, Boards of Studies and the Academic Council. Industry internships, multidisciplinary learning, digital skills and emerging technologies are also integrated across the academic experience.

This regular engagement with industry allows new developments to find their way into teaching and learning while maintaining the academic rigour and scrutiny expected of a university.

20+ Centres of Excellence Put Technology in Students' Hands

Galgotias University has more than 20 Centres of Excellence and specialised learning environments developed through collaborations with leading technology and industry organisations.

These include initiatives involving Apple, IBM, Intel, Cisco, Salesforce, Tata Technologies, Capgemini and L&T EduTech.

The Advanced Electric Vehicle Centre of Excellence with L&T EduTech gives students exposure to technologies being used in electric mobility. The University also houses an NVIDIA DGX H200, providing advanced computing infrastructure for artificial intelligence learning and research.

Students get opportunities to work with emerging technologies as part of their learning experience and apply classroom concepts in practical environments.

85+ Apps on the App Store Demonstrate Applied Learning

The University's iOS development ecosystem provides a strong example of applied learning.

More than 85 apps developed by Galgotias students are live on the Apple App Store.

Ten Galgotias students were winners of Apple's Swift Student Challenge in 2025. In 2026, the number increased to 18. Students Kartik Kaushik and Ansh Srivastava also attended Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference in 2026.

Students learn Apple's development technologies, identify problems, develop solutions and create applications that can reach real users.

The experience takes learning from understanding a technology to using it to create something meaningful.

G-SCALE Brings Active Learning into the Classroom

The way students learn is another part of the University's approach.

Through G-SCALE, Galgotias University's active-learning model, students engage in discussion, collaboration, problem-solving and application. Round-table classrooms and smart screens support greater participation in the learning process.

Artificial intelligence has made these capabilities even more relevant. Information can now be accessed and generated almost instantly. Students increasingly need to know how to frame problems, ask useful questions, assess information, exercise judgement and apply knowledge.

These capabilities develop through repeated practice across the learning experience.

135+ Startups Take Ideas Beyond the Classroom

Entrepreneurship provides another avenue for students to apply what they learn.

More than 135 startups have been incubated within the Galgotias ecosystem, with over 30 already generating revenue.

Through GIC-RISE, students have access to incubation, mentorship, infrastructure and industry networks. The INR 10 crore Galgotias Innovation Fund provides support for promising entrepreneurial ventures.

A classroom idea can develop into a project, then a prototype and eventually a viable venture. This gives students a pathway to take their ideas beyond the academic environment.

Strong Placements Reflect Industry Connect

Galgotias University has built a strong placement record alongside its industry-aligned curriculum and growing network of industry partnerships.

According to the University, for the Class of 2026, more than 1,250 recruiters participated in the Galgotias University placement ecosystem, generating over 5,500 job offers.

Major recruiters included Infosys, Capgemini, Cognizant, Accenture and EY. Infosys made 526 offers, Capgemini 228, Cognizant 205, Accenture 91 and EY 61. The highest package reached INR 60 lakh per annum, while the highest internship stipend reached INR 1.25 lakh per month. Students also secured more than 80 Dream Offers across the Big Four.

The strong placement outcomes add another dimension to the University's industry connect. Through industry-integrated programmes, Centres of Excellence, internships, active learning and exposure to emerging technologies, students engage with industry throughout their academic journey.

For Galgotias University, employability also extends beyond securing a first job. The larger objective is to develop graduates who can continue learning and adapting as technologies, roles and industries change.

Academic Rigour, Industry Relevance and Institutional Agility

The technologies students work with will continue to change. New professions will emerge and existing roles will continue to evolve.

Universities need the ability to respond to these developments while maintaining the depth and academic rigour expected of higher education.

At Galgotias University, industry alignment brings these priorities together through curriculum, industry participation, technology infrastructure, active learning and opportunities to apply knowledge.

The objective extends well beyond a student's first job. It is to develop graduates with the knowledge and capabilities to learn, adapt, apply and create throughout their careers.

For Galgotias University, academic rigour, industry relevance and institutional agility are increasingly working together to prepare students for the future of work.
