KEY POINTS

  • Collecting gear is a good way to prepare for upcoming DLC monsters
  • Farming and crafting decorations are great for optimizing builds
  • Hunting monsters with new builds and weapons is a great way to enjoy the game

Beating the final monster is hardly ever the end in any “Monster Hunter” game, and “Rise” is no exception. Players who power through the main story quest will find that there’s still a lot to do in the game, even if the endgame in “Rise” isn’t as fleshed out as the previous games in the franchise yet.

Monster Hunter Rise” is full of post-game activities for players to do. Here are some of the things hunters can look forward to after beating the Narwa.

Collect Equipment

Crafting the different kinds of equipment isn’t just for progressing through the main story. Having an arsenal of the best weapons and armor in “Monster Hunter Rise” will serve a practical purpose down the road once future updates hit.

Upcoming content drops will introduce new and more difficult monsters to the game, so it’ll be good to have a wide selection of equipment to pick from for exploiting the new monsters’ weaknesses.

Experiment with New Builds

Another benefit of having a large arsenal is the ability to mix and match armor pieces to find the best armor combinations in “Monster Hunter Rise.”

Many armor sets are good enough to stand on their own, but the best armor sets are usually the ones tailored by the players themselves. Mixing armor pieces allows players to stack armor skills, improving the effectiveness of said skills.

This opens up a plethora of new builds for different weapons for players to try out.

Farm Jewels

Jewels are the key components in crafting Decorations, which are gems that are slotted into armor pieces. These Decorations grant armor pieces specific Armor Skills. Decorations are the go-to method of achieving certain builds outside of mixing armor pieces.

Decorations often use monster parts in their crafting recipes. This means that hunters will be able to gather materials for both equipment and Decorations as they hunt monsters normally.

Try Different Weapons

Every weapon in “Monster Hunter Rise” has an astonishing amount of depth, and hunters who really want to become good at the game may want to master every weapon there is.

The combat in “Monster Hunter Rise” is not only fun, but it’s also very rewarding in terms of both in-game materials and personal gratification.
