Christopher Schubert, 44, has been accused of raping a single mother he met online. Schubert, of St Neots, Cambs, first met the victim in January 2018 on a dating site, Match.com. They decided to meet at her Oxfordshire home where she claimed he raped her. The woman had reportedly rejected him for being ''too fat'' prior to that incident.

The jury of Oxford Crown Court heard on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2019, a medical examination after the supposed offense found Schubert committed sexual violence through lacerations and abrasions.

Schubert, who stood accused, was in denial about two counts of rape and two counts of sexual assault by penetration.

Schubert on Match.com had described himself as a "big cuddly bear looking for his mate" and chatted with the woman whom he raped later, Mail Online reported.

The victim, who was not named, later remarked to police that she least expected Schubert to fit in the same bed as her.

She claimed that he looked heavier in reality than what his profile picture showed. When he arrived at her house, she thought Schubert was huge, Oxford Crown Court heard her speaking to the police.

The woman is reportedly a separated mother who invited Schubert at her home in Oxfordshire. "I had already said we were not going to have sex. You end up getting to know someone over a cup of tea and I invited him in to be sociable. I thought he was going to have a cup of tea and chat," she told the police.

She later called him “morbidly obese” while speaking to the police. She also confessed to the police to have discussed sharing the same bed with Schubert without getting sexually involved. She said she would still be in her pyjamas even though she had Schubert by her side in her bed.

“Given his size, we would not have fitted comfortably in the same bed. There is personal space and there is personal space. Even if I had a king size bed...I'd have no personal space at all. I'd have nowhere to go. There had already been a conversation. He had invited me over to his and he had a king size bed. I said to him that if I felt comfortable I'd sleep in a king size bed, but I'd have my personal space,” she said in her statement.
