Calling all breakfast lovers! Tuesday is National Pancake Day, and the International House of Pancakes is celebrating by giving out free pancakes.

Following an annual practice since 2006, customers who visit any participating IHOP location nationwide on Tuesday will get a free stack of the restaurant’s famous buttermilk pancakes. How do you get free pancakes from IHOP on National Pancake Day? It’s simple. You just have to show up to one of the 1,500-plus locations nationwide from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. While the offer is open to all, there is a limit of one free short stack of buttermilk pancakes for each guest. The offer is also valid for dine-in customers only and cannot be combined with any other offer, special, coupon and/or discount.

While all customers will be granted with a fresh stack of buttery goodness for their patronage, the chain will also be accepting voluntary donations for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, among other charities. “Since beginning its National Pancake Day… IHOP has raised $13 million to support charities in the communities in which it operates,” reads the official National Pancake Day IHOP site. “In return for the free pancakes, guest will be asked to consider leaving a donation.” According to the site, IHOP aims to raise $3 million in charitable donations this calendar year.

According to the Children’s Miracle Network, IHOP’s guests are advised to make a suggested donation of $5, similar to what they would pay for a stack of pancakes. Guests who donate will also reportedly receive a bonus gift for participating, a $5 off coupon good for their next visit. The Children’s Miracle Network is reporting that 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to local charities.
