  • Rivera drowned in Lake Piru, California during a boating trip with Josey on July 8

Amber Riley took to social media on Monday to remember her “Glee” co-star Naya Rivera by sharing a video of the late actress and her son singing together.

“My favorite duet partner. I love you. I miss you. I don’t have words right now, just lots of feelings. Rest In Peace Angel, and know that your family will never have to worry about anything,” Riley, who played Mercedes Jones in the now-defunct musical series, captioned the Instagram post.

The heartbreaking clip showed Rivera and her son, Josey Hollis Dorsey, singing the children’s song “Skidamarink” as they cuddle in bed, Billboard reported.

“Skidamarink a dink a dink,” the 4-year-old began, before Rivera joined in, singing, “Skidamarink a doo.” Then, the mother and son both exclaim “I love you” and share a sweet peck on the lips at the end of the clip.

Rivera, who may be best known for playing Santana Lopez in the Fox series “Glee,” met her untimely demise after drowning in Lake Piru, where she and her son went on a boating trip on July 8. The mother-child duo rented a pontoon boat for the outing, but Josey was later found sleeping alone on the boat.

The child told authorities that his mom went swimming and didn’t come back. He was wearing a life vest, but another one was found aboard, suggesting that Rivera wasn’t wearing hers when she went into the water.

One of the things that helped the search crew was a photo of Josey that Rivera took around 90 minutes to two hours before the boat was found. The background in the photo, which the actress sent to a relative, showed a cove, which became a starting point for the team, Ventura County Sheriff’s Office search & rescue team diver Robert Inglis said.

"She mustered enough energy to get her son back onto the boat, but not enough to save herself," Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayub said.

The search and rescue operations lasted for six days until a body was found in the northeastern part of Lake Piru that is between 35 and 60 feet. It was later identified as Rivera. After this, the barrage of tributes for the 33-year-old began pouring in for Rivera on social media.
