The National Basketball Association has erased all photos of the league's current players amid a lockout which has shut players out of all activities related to the league.
On the evening of July 1, the NBA.com website had a photo of NBA Commissioner Donald Stern with the headline Uncertainty begins.
The league is at an impasse over a collective bargaining agreement involving the National Basketball Players Association.
Features on the website including articles and videos are related to historic events such as the 1970-71 Milwaukee Bucks, former Utah Jazz guard John Stockton, Classic Dunk Contests.
There is not a ban on articles about players, however. One article posted to the site noted Friday that Kobe Bryant underwent surgery to strengthen an arthritic right knee.
