The Golden State Warriors are looking to improve their roster after a disappointing season. Despite all their struggles this year, the front office is determined to make the best adjustments for the team. One possible talent the team can take advantage of is Memphis Tigers Prospect James Wiseman.

Throughout Wiseman’s stint with the Tigers, he’s developed as one of the best talents in the upcoming draft. Standing at seven-foot-one, the 19-year-old has been a strong force inside the paint. Averaging 19.7 points a game coupled with 10.7 rebounds a night, Wiseman has developed into a reliable offensive player.

With all of the resources that the Warriors have, they can further deepen their roster by selecting Wiseman in the upcoming draft. Per Blue Man Hoop, the Warriors selecting Wiseman can benefit well with the team’s current setup. Given that the squad hasn’t had a strong physical presence inside the paint since Andrew Bogut, Wiseman gives Golden State a strong edge over their opponents.

It has been a struggle for Golden State given the number of injuries and roster adjustments the team has endured. The current season features a different look for the Warriors with how their veteran stars were replaced with rookies and younger players. Selecting Wiseman who knows how to make big plays and has a high ceiling can set the pace for Warriors in years to come.

The ability of Wiseman to play the pick-and-roll as a finisher can benefit the likes of Stephen Curry on the floor. To add to this, he can also move well without the ball with long strides and an impressive leaping capability. Having all-around players such as Draymond Green who can move around the ball well can be beneficial for Wiseman as a recipient of lobs inside the paint for easy baskets.

While plans are not final yet for the Bay Area team, it would be interesting to see how Golden State will strategize for the upcoming seasons and for the NBA draft. It will be important to have dependable players that could support the team and at the same time high potential athletes that can be a staple figure for the Warriors.
