  • Kobe Bryant started to watchthe NBA again because of his daughter Gigi

Looking at the basketball resume of Kobe Bryant, the former Los Angeles Lakers star seems to have done it all. He won six NBA titles, was a two-time NBA Finals MVP and an 18-time NBA All-Star. With those achievements, one has to wonder if there is anything that the Black Mamba failed to accomplish during his tenure.

Appearing at "All The Smoke" the 41-year-old retired NBA star shared one of his frustrations. Though he won six titles, he wanted to win eight NBA rings and tie Michael Jordan.

"It pissed me off. But, things are what they are. You push for a goal, and my original goal was to try to win 8. You push for it. Push for it. Push for it, and you do the best you can," said Bryant.

Regardless, it seems Bryant is pretty much content with what he has achieved. He stressed that he feels comfortable, knowing he worked hard as he possibly could when he was still actively playing NBA ball.

True enough, winning six NBA rings is an achievement on its own. TMZ Sports points out how only 13 players were able to win more than 5 rings. Aside from him and Jordan, the list includes NBA greats Bill Russell and John Havlicek.

Bryant revealed other things as well during that interview with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson. He shared how his daughter Gigi (Bryant) got him back to watching NBA ball again. It turns out that he stopped watching the game when he retired.

"You know what's funny," he said in a report by CBS Sports, "So before Gigi got into basketball I hardly watched it, but now that's she's into basketball, we watch every night."

Gigi Bryant seems to be following the footsteps of her father. Only 13-years-old, Kobe is coaching her daughter and most notice how Gigi has a fadeaway jumper similar to her dad.

Watching NBA games regularly together, the elder Bryant shared who her daughter keeps up with. The list includes Trae Young (Atlanta Hawks), Luka Doncic (Dallas Mavericks), LeBron James (Lakers) plus James Harden and Russell Westbrook (both of the Houston Rockets).
