One of NBA’s most premiere point guards Chris Paul has captured the attention of several teams despite not having the best season of his career.

Chris Paul seems to be in some sort of a déjà vu this offseason as teams such as the Los Angeles Lakers and the New York Knicks show their high interest on the Houston Rockets point guard. But rumor has it that not only the Lakers and Knicks are targeting the 34-year old All-Star.

Reports also claim that the Charlotte Hornets and the Miami Heat are also hoping to put Paul’s name on their official roster.

His current team Rockets, seems to be very open and leaning towards significant changes in their roster this offseason if the associated prices per deal will be just right.

Last Wednesday, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Rockets general manager Daryl Morey decided that everyone on the Rockets’ current line-up, including future draft picks, are available and open for talks should teams will be interested.

Wojnarowski also mentioned that the possibilities of a trade or deal which might involve the reigning NBA Season MVP James Harden is ‘believed to be extremely limited,’ at this point but the rest of the roster figures is inevitable for sudden changes, according to The Bleacher Report.

Prior to this report, the Rockets were already believed to be looking at the possibility of trading Paul to teams interested. Just a few days ago, Nick Wright of Fox Sports 1 have stressed a very specific and important idea.

“The Rockets’ only hope to get rid of Chris Paul would be trading him to the Lakers,” Wright pointed out on Fox Sports.

For two consecutive seasons, the Rockets have been eliminated by their Western Conference nemesis Golden State Warriors which is believed by many to have played a big role in the emergence of all this drama that surrounds Paul and the Rockets today.

Although it is a little too early to assume, this series of reports goes to show that the relationship between Paul and the Rockets is starting to go a bit sour.

The nine-time All-Star has evidently past the peak of his career but still is considered a high-caliber point guard. There is no wonder why teams are interested on Paul now that they already have a hint on what the Rockets are planning.

But the real question is, how much more has Paul left in his tank?
