Top free agent Jimmy Butler is reportedly ‘’very interested” in joining a team that is freshly linked with his name.

All throughout the summer, Philadelphia 76ers star Jimmy Butler has been a hot subject in various free agency talks and trade rumors. And now, sources claim that the top free agent is “very interested” in signing with the Miami Heat.

According to Yahoo Sports, after all the ongoing scenarios involving Butler, a report about where Butler really wants to play for has finally emerged.

The latest update on the four-time All Star is a Sixers sign-and-trade scenario with the Heat, in which the Heat was emphasized as the team Butler prefers at the moment. This was technically much similar with the case of Houston Rockets involving the Sixers star.

But apparently, sources claim that between the Heat and the Rockets, the Heat may have more to offer in the Butler deal.

Despite these rumors spreading, the Sixers’ plan remains still, and that is to keep Butler in the team for a couple more seasons.

Butler is evidently a top prospect this offseason and it is really important for teams to know what the 29-year-old All Star demands are to make him sign a contract. Almost a month ago, Butler has hinted a switch to the Los Angeles Lakers when he posted a photo of him apparently liking the color combination of his sneakers which appears to be purple and gold, the two unique colors of the LA Lakers.

Prior to the sneakers hint, news of Butler highly interested with joining the Lakers broke. Reports claim that the 6-foot-6 guard will immediately sign the contract if the Lakers will offer him the max contract he’s been demanding this offseason.

Butler has been continuously linked with LA these past few weeks and in fact, there is still a chance that he and the Lakers may finally come to an agreement.

It is widely known in the NBA that the Lakers are in the process of acquiring a “third star” now that Anthony Davis and LeBron James are officially the top 2 stars of the team. Just recently, sources reported that Butler “has interest in being” the Lakers’ third star player.

Unidentified league sources even insist that the All-Star would be open to accept a “slightly less than” max deal with LA, Sporting News reported.

From the looks of how things are going, it seems like even though Sixers will try to keep Butler, the Heat and the Lakers appears to be the top two teams likely to land the All Star.
