Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard Kyle Korver is continuing to attract interest from some of the top sides in the NBA.

According to Gery Woelfel of Woelfel's Press Box, the likes of the Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers, Oklahoma City Thunder and Milwaukee Bucks are all interested in a potential trade for the 37-year-old.

The Bucks are a notable big contender with head coach Mike Budenholzer having coached the player during their Atlanta Hawks days.

“You know how Bud likes shooters,’’ an NBA executive said regarding Korver. “It’s like the old adage: You can’t have enough shooters. That’s the way he feels.’’

Woelfel adds that the Cavaliers are open to letting him go but not for cheap, as they are reportedly asking for a first-round pick in return.

For a player approaching his forties and in the second year of a three-year, $22 million deal, that asking price is too steep as the "prevailing feeling among several NBA officials is that no team will likely agree to the Cavs’ asking price."

However, Korver is a useful player to have despite being used sparingly by Cleveland this season, and his shooting prowess will always be an asset with his career 43.1 percent three-point shooting.

The Bucks could potentially offer a trade package that includes former Cavs guard Matthew Dellavedova while they could also add a youngster like Thon Maker, D.J. Wilson or Christian Wood to sweeten the deal.

Dellavedova is currently being paid $9.6 million this season and will be owed $9.6 million next season. Maker, Wilson and Wood are making $2.8 million, $2.5 million, and $1.5 million respectively this season.

The Sixers, meanwhile, were previously linked with Korver as they look to add a shooter to their ranks following the Jimmy Butler trade that saw them part with the likes of Robert Covington, Dario Saric and Jerryd Bayless.

"The desperate-for-shooters Sixers remain highly interested in acquiring Cleveland's Kyle Korver," Marc Stein of the New York Times recently wrote. "But that will be harder for Philadelphia to make happen without Jerryd Bayless' handy $8.6 million expiring contract to help facilitate a trade."

Philadelphia have also been reported to be interested in Lakers guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who could serve as an alternative to Korver.

"(The Sixers’) depth is depleted," Kevin O'Connor said recently. "They need to add shooting, I had in my article on Saturday that they still retain interest in Cavs wing Kyle Korver, I’ve since heard that Kentavious Caldwell-Pope on the Lakers is a guy that they could have eyes for, but even then, Korver is obviously one of the greatest shooters ever, KCP is an inconsistent shooter."

As for the Lakers, they could always use a proficient shooter and a trade package could be facilitated next month as Silver Screen and Roll speculates a package built around Lance Stephenson, Michael Beasley and a future second-round pick should be enough.

Korver is averaging 5.5 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists in the 11 games he has featured in so far for the struggling Cavaliers.
