Korean shows and movies have gotten popular in the United States since the success of shows like "Squid Game" and "Hellbound," and the movie "Parasite," which bagged an Academy Award for Best Picture in 2020.

Looking at the success of K-dramas, Netflix is all set to release some original series on the streaming platform next month. Here's a list of shows that you should definitely consider watching.

Narco-Saints

If you love watching action crime thriller series, then "Narco-Saints" is a perfect pick for you. The series was initially titled, "The Accidental Narco," which was later changed. The series is based in South America, where National Intelligence Service in Korea learns about a drug lord working in their region.

How the intelligence service take help from a regular person and he gets involved in the drug world unravels the story further. "Narco-Saints" series feature South Korean actor Park Hae-soo, who gained popularity with "Squid Game." The series will also feature Ha Jung-woo, Yoo Yeon-seok and Hwang Jung-min.

The first season consists of six episodes and it is slated to release on Sept. 9.

Once Upon a Small Town

Love watching romantic comedy? If so, then you should check out "Once Upon a Small Town," which is slated to release on Sept. 5. The series revolves around a young man who receives a call from his grandfather to come down to their village and take care of his clinic for six months as he has a Europe trip planned.

The young man agrees and meets a beautiful girl once he arrives, who helps him to explore life in the village. The series will star Park Soo-young, Choo Young-Woo, Ha Yul-ri, Baek Sung-Chul and Jeong Seok-yong in the main characters. It consists of 12 episodes in total.

Little Women

"Little Women" is based on coming-of-age novel penned by Louisa May Alcott. The novel was originally published in two volumes in 1868 and 1869. There have been many movies and series based on this novel. And now, Korean adaptation of "Little Women" is all set to release on Sept. 3. The series will consist of 12 episodes.

The series will tell the story of three sisters who face major tragedy in their life and fight against one of the wealthiest family of their country. The series stars Kim Go-eun, Park Ji-hoo and Nam Ji-hyun.
