KEY POINTS

  • There are 10 Mythical and Legendary Pokemon in "New Pokemon Snap"
  • Some Pokemon require additional steps before they appear
  • Of all the Legendary Pokemon, Ho-Oh is the only one that appears randomly

As fans would expect, “New Pokemon Snap” is filled with many of the series’ adorable monsters as well as some of the rarer ones that are typically harder to spot.

Any player who wants to complete their Pokedex will have to track down the Mythical and Legendary Pokemon included in the game. Here’s where to find all of them.

Celebi

To find a Celebi, go to the maze in Elsewhere Forest and keep moving forward. There should be one floating around the final area.

Jirachi

Jirachi can be found at the beginning and the end of the Ruins of Remembrance zone, but players will need to finish the main story first.

One Jirachi can be found among the Edelgloss at the start of the area. Alternatively, players can go to the end of the Ruins and light up all of the Pokemon statues there.

Diancie

Once players reach Research Level 3, the crystal room inside Outway Cave should open up. Inside, there will be two Carbinks and a Mawile. Throw an Illumina Orb at each of these Pokemon and a Diancie will appear.

Manaphy

Like Jirachi, Manaphy will only appear after the end of the main story. Go to the night version of the Reef and throw an Illumina Orb at each of the Lapras found at the alternate route near the end of the level, then play the flute. Manaphy should appear shortly after.

Lugia

Lugia can be found at the Lental Seafloor. Take the first path to the left at the beginning of the zone and throw an Illumina Orb at a nearby Lanturn. Two Frillish will grab onto the Lanturn shortly. Throw another orb to free the Lanturn and wait for it to open a new path. The path will lead to a Lugia inside a cave.

Suicune

This Pokemon can be found in a secret area in the Shiver Snowfields at night. Go to the alternate route leading to the ice floes and wait for a Jynx riding an Avalugg to appear. Throw an Illumina Orb at the Jynx and a Suicune will appear from the water.

Ho-Oh

Ho-Oh appears randomly at the Fireflow Volcano zone. Keep an eye on the skies and a Ho-Oh will eventually appear.

Shaymin

Shaymin can be found in the Florio Nature Park at night. Go to the end of the zone and look for the flower field there. Throw an Illumina Orb at a Crystalbloom to the right side and wait for a Shaymin to appear.

Xerneas

This Pokemon appears at the Illumina Spot near the end of the Ruins of Remembrance zone.

Mew

Mew can be found at the start of the Founja Jungle. Turn around then play a song for the two Morelull using the flute. Then, throw a Fluffruit at the pink orb that will appear. Mew should show up shortly after.
