KEY POINTS

  • Elijah Moore becomes the latest Jets' receiver seeking a trade
  • Reports say that no trade is immediately happening
  • Denzel Mims could end up taking on the starting role of Moore

The New York Jets may be in a world of trouble soon if they are unable to address the growing frustration of some players from their end.

The receiving corps of the Jets seems to be up in arms with at least two receivers seeking a trade.

The first one was Denzel Mims, someone who aired his frustrations since he was not playing as a starter back in September.

The Jets hardly budged despite at least four teams (Dallas Cowboys, Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks and Carolina Panthers) allegedly expressing interest in the 25-year-old player.

"Of course, I'm going to be frustrated that I'm not playing with the starters, but I've got to continue to work," Mims said via Conor Huges of SNY.

Now, another receiver in Elijah Moore has aired his wish to be traded.

This stems from his complaint of being unhappy with his role in the offense, a reason why he wants to be shipped to a new club.

Regardless, it appears the Jets are not lifting a finger to deal away the 22-year-old Florida native according to sources cited by Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

Moore was targeted just once when the Jets faced the Packers.

His frustration grew after his lack of usage in the passing game.

This is despite the fact the Jets threw just 18 times against the Packers and quarterback Zach Wilson only completed ten of those 18 passes.

"If I say what I really wanna say, I'll be the selfish guy. We winning. Grateful! Huge blessing! All I ever wanted. Bittersweet for me them, but I'll be solid. So I'll just stay quiet. Just know I don't understand either," Moore posted on Twitter after the Jets won over the Packers, 27-10.

In all, no Jets receiver had more than two catches in their Week 6 win with only Corey Davis having more than 20 receiving yards.

Moore ranks fifth on the Jets with 203 receiving yards and 29 catches but has yet to find the end zone this season.

The former Ole Miss Rebel is the only wide receiver on the Jets' roster who has been in the starting lineup for all six games.

Despite this, he remains sixth on the team in terms of catches.
