Ahead of Game 1 of the 2017 ALDS match against the Cleveland Indians, the New York Yankees took to Twitter Thursday and seemingly predicted a victory when they used known Indians fan, LeBron James to troll the team.

The storied franchise tweeted out a dated picture of James holding up Yankees hat, cheering in the stands, along with the caption #PinstripePride.

The photo was captured on Oct.7, 2007, when James supported the Yankees, despite being an Ohio native. The Cleveland Cavaliers star was seen celebrating the New York-based team during Game 1 of the 2007 ALDS against the Indians, which the Indians won 3-1.

The 32-year-old Ohio native openly supported the Indians last season when he donned team gear during the World Series versus the Chicago Cubs, and even pumped the crowd before the game.

The Yankees, led by rookie sensation Aaron Judge, are looking to make a splash in the playoffs. Despite a poor performance from ace pitcher Luis Severino, the Yankees advanced to the ALDS with a win over the Minnesota Twins during Tuesday night's AL Wild Card Game. The Yankees are scheduled to take on the Indians Thursday in a best-of-five series.

Baseball was the center of discussion in the Cavs locker room last year after James attended Game 2 of the 2016 ALDS between the Indians and the Red Sox. That’s when James revealed his allegiance with the Yankees, despite his Indians support.

"I’m a supporter," James told the New York Post last October. "I’m a supporter of winners. As a kid growing up, I needed inspiration to get out of the situation I was in. I loved the Bulls, Cowboys and loved the Yankees."

"Those are winning franchises. I liked them because they gave me hope of being a winner. That’s part of the reason I loved those teams but I definitely support what the Indians are doing right now.'"

James rallied behind the Indians all last season and even took to his media platform "UNINTERRUPTED" in earnest after the team suffered a crushing defeat in Game 7 of the 2016 World Series against the Cubs.

"You guys did something nobody would ever think you guys could do, and we’re very proud of you," said James. "You guys got nothing to hang your heads about. Use it as inspiration and get ready for next year."

The Cavs superstar even suggested that the Indians could win 40 games after they set a new American League record when they beat the Tigers, 5-3, for their 21st consecutive win.

"I was about to say it's incredible," James said, "But I want to come back and do another video when you all got like a 40-game winning streak. No pressure. No pressure, I get it. I've had my own 27-game winning streak in the NBA before. It's a lot of pressure winning every night."

During the video, James referred to the Indians as the "The Cleveland WINdians™" and in jest, suggested that he intended on getting the phrase trademarked soon.
